Transforming Women's Leadership Program
Scholarship

Through the generosity of our community, LJIST may be able to offer a limited number of partial scholarships for our Transforming Women's Leadership Program.

To expand access and ensure commitment, all scholarships will be partial scholarships. We believe it is important that each person pay what they are able or get support from others to help them pay something to participate in our programs.

SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY

Participants who have access to Professional Development funds through their organization or are pursuing Continuing Education Credits are not eligible for our scholarship program.

Please read on to find out whether you are eligible. The more criteria that apply to you, the greater your chances of being gifted a scholarship. If you are granted a scholarship, you won’t be eligible to receive another one for at least a year. Also, we will prioritize people who have never received a scholarship.

Award Criteria
Scholarships awards are allocated based on three criteria:

Following UN categorization, Countries of Residence/Origin are organized into four groups. People who were born/live in Group 4 countries will be given priority. Groups 3 and 2 will also be considered if there is no one from Group 4 who has requested funds and/or additional funds are available. People from Group 1 will be considered based on their answers to criteria 2 and 3.

There is no way of getting this "right.” We are also aware that our scholarships won’t cover the amount of need. Over the coming months and years, we have plans to expand our scholarship fund and thus our scholarship awards. Bear with us, as we learn how best to allocate scholarships to those who are in need and, at the same time, will hopefully have an impact within their communities.
